:winner_first_h4h: Hooray!
I did my first oil change (a bit later than I was hoping) at 575 miles.
Get out the 'break in' oil. Did I need to do that? Who knows, but I feel better having fresh dino oil in there.

At 3500 I'll switch it over to synthetic.

Anywho, I installed the catch can and cleaned the engine. Going go to go over the rubber and plastics with Super RVT here soon.

The catch can seemed to fit better on this truck for some unexplained reason.

how does it fit better? I know mine is awfully close to the block/head making it hard to reach around it completely to unscrew it. Is that how urs fits better? I have thought about putting some spacers between the bracket and the block/head where it attaches.

I'm loving the 2500. No regrets!

I don't know how to explain it fitting better. It fought me to get all lined up in my 1500. In this one, it just went right into place. *shrug* maybe it was just experience?

I've not tried emptying it yet, so I have no idea as to the 'access' of it.

Wow! I know that's got to be a load off your mind, 'cause every RAM has to have a catch can! :dogpile:

What took you so long? ;) I did mine at a whopping 250 miles... :insane:

I just used O'Reilly's 5W20 and a WIX filter. I MAY change to synthetic in the future. If I do, it'll only be to extend the intervals so I don't have to mess with that HORRIBLE oil filter location. Damn thing dripped oil for a week after changing it, and I wiped it down as well as I could. :bawl:

I hit my truck with SVRT last night after a proper 2 bucket wash... I did all the plastics and rubber including all the door seals. Make sure you don't forget those!

I never had an issue fitting my catch can. I checked it the other day when I changed the oil and it'd caught about a tablespoon or so.

I was on the road! Hard to change the oil at that point! Haha.
I was planning 500, then at 3,500 I'll go to Mob 1 5W20, change it at 10k and then every 10k after that.

I started the SVRT detailing. Got everything under the hood done (sans engine cover, I wanna paint it, so I don't want to treat it). all hand applied and smoothed over. I did the lower window sills on the outside and the cowl.
Once I wash the whole truck, I'll hit the door seals, there are like 400 on each door. UGH!

Trust me... I KNOW! :Pshyco:

I hit the antenna base as well... Make sure you don't miss that. I see peoples here are all bleached out.

Adams In and Out is awesome under the hood too. Works great for the hard to reach areas or corrugated pipes like the OEM intake has.

I did get the antenna base, I was annoyed how my '11s had already faded out.

I went over each crease in the intake tube...
