5.7 v8 1500 big horn crew. I have had a catch can installed for over a year. I don’t do a ton of driving but after a few thousand miles, when I empty the catch can there is not much oil in it. Is that a good thing or is it not working properly. It is mounted and hooked up correctly.

Having less is better than having a lot. Being a NA motor your catch can shouldn’t have very much at all in it after a couple thousand miles. If it was half or full after a couple thousand miles I’d be concerned with that over just have a little in there.

If you drive like Grandma, you won't get much in the catch can,use that skinny pedal every once inawhile, the hemi's not an engine that likes to be babied,it's happier if you drive it a bit aggressively.

To know if it's mounted or hooked up correctly, we'd have to know how you have it hooked up and mounted. Got any pics?

My supercharged truck is about 1/2 full at 2500 miles, it has 80k miles on the clock and doesn't get treated kindly........

My new truck with 10k miles, after driving it across country about 3k miles had enough to cover the bottom of the catch can. It's factory stock under warranty. I didn't hold back on it during the drive.

A spirited drive in ones HEMI is a very good thing as @Wild one indicated ;)

The VVT kicks in at about 5,000rpm... the HEMI likes it when the VVT gets activated, regularly!
