Unless I am mistaken, you are still going to run a shroud....

efans were out of a late model impala.

shroud is out, i have the coolant tank temped in with a couple cable ties and a piece of the original shroud mount, i need do make a bracket as well as find a way to mount the washer tank.

I was just about to ask how you were mounting the coolant and washer fluid jugs. My water pump started seeping a little while back and I was planning on just switching to an e-fan when I had everything torn down.
What are you using to control the fans?

I kinda like the dual fan idea over the single. hmmmmmmm I smell a new mod and DIY coming. lol

i hooked up each fan to its own relay and 30 amp line (hence the ferd fuse box), hooked the relay contol to ignition power for now. i may hook up one of the fans to go on when the a/c is turned on, and the second one to a thermostat. i dont have to worry about cold weather here so they can run all the time. as i come up with proper mounting for the coolant and washer tanks i'll post more pics.

finished mounting the coolant and washer jugs

no fan shroud needed


used the bottom bracket off the shroud, attached it to the wheel well, with the tank resting on the bracket made a strap out of a piece of aluminum i had laying around bolted to the top shroud mounting hole...




took out the plastic filler on the side of the radiator, the bottom tab fit right into an exsisting hole in the lower core support, used a hose clamp on the top to the exsisting shroud mount.

fit like it was made to go there.
