interested to see how it goes.

fyi I noticed that edge provides the updater for windows AND mac. pretty sweet

They do but Ignition (Seems to cover the PowerTEQ products from both Diablo and newer stuff from Edge) under macOS seems to be somewhat spotty as it's crashed on me more than once. I stick to using the windows box in my garage, as much as I despise windows all the tuner/diagnostic tools require it, or a windows VM with USB pass through on the Mac when I mess with my I3. In a pinch I'll use my little Macbook to pull log files or add a tune to the drive, but the functionality really is better on windows sadly. On the Diablo side of things the data logging/log reading software also only runs on Windows so I imagine it would be much the same if official datalogging is available via that Holly/PowerTEQ USB interface.

Also looking forward to heading back on how the update goes, if they can make the Pulsar better I'm all for it. Even better if they open up custom tunes via the interface.

Haven't had a chance to try the update yet with my girl's laptop. I tried and it was acting funny. Anyway here is a pic of the USB plug side for now. Gonna 5ry the update tomorrow.

i sent em an email asking how to update mine, and they basically shut me down. they said it should be ready "in a few weeks".

Looks like they've got a lot riding on this working for Georgiasport. haha

FYI,
I was just contacted by a person from Edge about my Pulsar. I had left a review on their site back when few had the Pulsar. He asked if I was interested in getting an update for it which would: adjust for tire size, adjust for gear ratio, and an updated power level display.

Just thought all you other Pulsar owners would like to know. Seems like they are going to be updating them. I will keep this post updated with how things go.

Brian
I have a 17 Longhorn with the Pulsar and they will send you an OBD11 connect cord which you plug into a laptop and download the revision and then upload the new tune with onscreen prompts.

So, I put in the update for my Pulsar. Took all of 5 minutes. The current power level setting is now displayed on the top center of the lcd display on the dash. It is now where it would display my current xm radio channel. It read "Tow w/MDS off" which is the setting 6 I keep it in. I didn't try the tire size or axle ratio adjustments because mine are both stock.

woah, do you have premium cluster?

curious what the express/tradesman guys will see. really excited to hear it went smooth. I’m also curious to hear if the torque management changes are noticeable

Mine is a Sport so I guess I have the premium cluster. In the PDF file the guy sent me for the new set up instructions it did also show it will be displayed in the center settings display of the regular dash info display. I didn't know they made torque management changes.

nick@gotexhaust confirmed it earlier in the thread.

to be honest it’s the only reason I want the update

I will have to look back at his post. Cool, because as if now all the update did for me was the updated power display. Here's 2 screen shots of the new off instructions that will be going out with all the new updated Pulsars:

Im just wondering what kind of hoops us existing customers will have to spend...i mean jump through to get a update

@69GWC ..i now run exclusively on 8 with pedal commander on city +3. It took a minute to get the pc dialed in to eliminate crazy jumping from a light change. A quich swappo chango to sport plus is a blast on a green light with something fun beside the "WhytRam"

I leave mine on 5 mostly. I like the gas mileage with the mds. The shifts are a lot easier in that setting compared to 8. 7/8 takes getting used to, but isn’t that bad off the lights once you get used to it.
It’s a worthwhile purchase for an ‘18. Hopefully they keep adding more options to it.

in addition to the sensitivity answers, you’re also required to run 89+ for the timing advance. that could be a factor.

I keep 89-93 octane in my truck and mostly stay on level 4, the neutered fuel efficient mode. it made a difference in my all city drive commute. when I put it on 8, I have to get used to the jumpy throttle. I also speed everywhere

Well I run 89 anyway so stepping up to 91 would not be that bad of a jump.
I doubt I would ever take it off number 8 if I get one, got the extra power I haft to have to..lol :)
Be happy you can get 91!

Around here it's 87, 89 or 93
