You want to set the fan to come on a few degrees higher than your thermostat...this way the fan isnt always running. The fan shuld be off while you are cruising on the highway and only run when you are at idle, in traffic, or driving slow around town.

Sure could use a complete answer for this. In the dcx it has a fan on temp. Under the fan off it has a high speed and a low speed setting. thanks

Set your low speed at 185, and the high speed at 195. That should work out fine for your 180 stat.

Is your motor running at 180* or is it running hotter than that?

Levels out about 186. I put the low mph setting at 194 and the high mph at 202 and the fan on setting at 202. It still stays on

Anyone know any other ideas? Why does the dcx have the high mph and low mph settings and a seperate fan on setting? Are these needed? What do they mean? Thanks

Ok got it figured out. I set all 3 settings to 202*. Fan kicked on at around 201* and off at about 190*. The settings on my dcx starts with a ac fan off. Under ac fan OFF theres 2 settings... high mph ac fan ON and low mph ac fan ON. Thatd what was throwing me off. Anyways thanks for the help.
