Every once and awhile I'll start my truck and it sounds off but I don't know if it's a problem. It usually happens 2-3 times a week and last for about 2-4 seconds.

Thats the MDS lifters pumping up they bleed down overnight sometimes when was your last oil change? I recommend 5w30 either redline or Pennzoil synthetic.

That sounds like lifter bleed down. Mine does it as well usually after really short drives or if I move my truck in the driveway and shut it off

It is called hemi tick and there is two causes, exhaust bolts or lifters. Use your search button, tons of stuff. I have a different take on yours, when the sound almost is ahead of the engine like that, my guess is exhaust bolts. Get under engine and check exhaust bolts on both sides. If it is lifters, look up redline hemi tick thread and lubegard biotech hemi tick thread as well as oil filter thread, there is science to why those have been proven to work.

After a trip when engine is good and warm, is there any tick at warm idle?

If it is exhaust manifold, don't try and fix it yourself unless you know what you are doing, there are coolant and oil lines behind that part of the block, and there are plenty of examples of people drilling through them.

Once the truck is warmed up there is no noise at all.

Its just the lifters pumping up at the first Start after sitting for several hours

If it was broken manifold bolts, you could park next to a building, in an alley or under a bridge when the engine is warmed up to operating temperature & it would make that exact same noise, but the sound would always be there

I think around October. My next scheduled change is in early January.
