Hey all, gotta small annoyance.

I've got a 2009 Ram Big Horn. I installed an aftermarket Pioneer head unit using the Scosche CR4000C wiring kit. It is a smart harness that retains steering wheel controls, retained accessory power, auto dimming, etc. I just assumed once I installed the aftermarket radio the EVIC would be blank like it did when factory radio was off. Instead, it says AM 522. No matter what I change on the Pioneer it doesn't change. I just want it to be blank. Any ideas?

Does the unit need to be programmed for your truck?

No. My radio doesn't support outputting data and my wiring harness doesn't support that feature, either. So the truck is receiving a signal from somewhere. Just not sure where.
