Well, I’m at 52k miles and I have one broken bolt on the passenger side. I’m going to try out the BD Diesel 1041463 kit. I’m also using a Remflex 6022 gasket, and I put heat shielding around my passenger-side coolant lines and around the driver-side wiring harness since I’ll be losing the built-in heat shield from the manifold gaskets. I also picked up some nickel anti-seize for my manifold bolts. I read this post too late, and my OE manifolds are already in the landfill.

Did anyone else use anti-seize?
Yup,always when running a steel bolt into an aluminium head

Good Afternoon All, been reading exhaust manifold threads and have found very few recommendations on which brand of hardware to use when reinstalling the manifolds.
Price wise OEM is out of the question, this morning the dealer parts dept. had to call EMS for the heart attack they gave me.....$500 just for the bolts, studs & nuts for both sides!!!

I just looked on Bennys site. You can get all OE studs, bolts, nuts, and the heat shields for ~$275, including the collector bolts and keepers.

The wife just surprised me by going on Amazon and buying the BD Diesel kit for me for $480 with free shipping.
Says I never ask for much and she wants the truck to last.
I have the bd diesel manifolds which I put on over a year ago and like them alot. Beefier design and changed the bolt design to prevent snapping bolts.

I'm coming up on 2 years (at least 20,000 miles including towing camper from April till October every year) on mine. I have had zero leaks or broken bolts with these manifolds.

My stock manifolds both had broken bolts in exactly the same spot at the back of the engine. One broke flush on each side and 1 on each side I was able to back out with hand tools. Used welder and nut to extract the flush bolts.
