Will u get better performance out of a true dual exhaust than a single in dual out?

Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

ive heard these trucks respond better to dual exhaust with an x pipe but probably not a big enough difference to make it worth it but im planning on doing a cam swap in the future so i want my exhaust to flow as free as possible

ill have to look that one up....how is it in person though would you say its louder or more aggressive then magnaflow?

Maybe slightly, but seeing I HATE super loud exhausts, and currently have Magnaflow, I like it.

I've personally had ZERO issues with my Magnaflow system I currently have, but I plan on putting headers on which means bye-bye MF and hello new exhaust.

Cherry bombs? Lol

I had a cherry bomb extreme on my 07 hemi qc dumped at the axle and loved it not too loud and extremely aggressive in my opinion, so I decided to put it on my 09 hemi cc dumped at the axle and it sounds even better, not sure why? But with my cc it has more of a drone sound in the cab , I think due to the cab being closer to the axle as opposed to the qc. But not sure if you'd have the drone in a sc

Put a Capped or adjustable Helmholtz chamber on it.

Wow long tubes and a 14 and its not aggressive enough? I have the SI/DO 14 without resonators and I think it sounds mean. I have been wanting to hear the same setup but with ARH LT's. You have a clip?

Pull the muffler off and make an adjustable Helmholtz chamber and tie it in to the exhaust on both outlets.

if you want something loud and agressive id say flowmaster super 10, i had that on my 04 ram with dual 3.5 inch tips and it sounded great. a little drone but i like it and they are only about $60 at any auto parts store

flowmaster sounds horrible to me once you take of catalytic converters and have headers and they dont flow very well either. if i was just replacing a muffler i maybe would go with it but i need something that is going to work for me in the long run after a cam swap and nitrous

I've been getting kinda tired of my exhaust lately so I was thinking of getting it changed and wanted everyone's opinions. Right now I have American racing long tubes with their y pipe and high flow cats from there it goes into a si/do 14" magnaflow and them I took the resonators off to it just goes out the rear bumper. For the next set up I know for sure I'm taking off the y pipe and cats and going with no cats and an x pipe and I'm changing the rear tips but other then that I'm undecided and this is what I'm thinking so far

Dual magnaflow or dynomax bullet mufflers

Two 14" magnaflow mufflers

Two borla xr1's (favorite so far)

Anyone have any other suggestions? I want something a little more aggressive then what I have right now

I bought my truck used...I havent had much time to get underneath to look at what series, but mine has a flowmaster on it and I freaking love it. I dont really notice the drone so much and since I've had this truck I cant keep my foot out of it on the sound alone. If you want I can try to get some video of it. It was just welded in place of the factory muffler everything else is the same. It sounds bad a$$. I would have never went with that set up cause everyone was like drone this drone that, but I wouldnt want it any other way.

i like how flowmaster sounds in the way that you described it just welded in pplace of the factory muffler but with long tube headers and no cats they sound horrible at least the ones ive heard thats why im not really leaning much towards a flowmaster

is there anything you're leaning towards? i just had my longtubes put on and my truck has a deeper tone to it, but it's a little too loud for my taste with my 14" maggie on it. i'm thinking about going with the 24" one to mellow it out a bit.
