Factory remote start. Is there a "leave it running" mode?

On my old Ram, which had an aftermarket remote start, I could run into the store really quick, but leave the truck running and take the keys with me by just pressing the remote start button twice. I tried this on my new one (factory installed remote start) and it doesn't work. Is there such a feature?

Not on the factory remote start. You have to shut it down, then remote start the truck.

Yup. When I first got mine out of habit I just grabbed the keys and got out without pushing the button to turn it off. Went golfing and when I returned hours later it was in fact still running.

I do this all the time. Just leave it running and lock the doors when you get out.

Exactly what I did. Grabbed the keys. Pressed lock on the fob and left. My other truck has the fob you place in the ignition like a key and you can't leave it running. Have to turn it off to pull the key. Can't press the fob prior to removing the key and leave it on like the aftermarket ones.
