So I have a 2015 Ram 1500 single cab with the 5.7 and 6 speed. I want to do long tubes, y pipe, to angle in dual out flowmaster exhaust, and CAI. How much faster would it make it?

Let's back up a minute, kid.
What rear end gears do you have? Also, what size tires?

Power is all well and good. But if you don't have the "leverage" to utilize it, you're passing in the wind.

Usual gain from a good set of long tubes(ARH) is about 25-30 rwhp with a custom tune.

A naturally aspirated FBO Ram imo

LT's
CAI
Tuner of choice highly recommend custom over included tunes.
Gears 4.10's
Muffler of choice

Single cabs with a driver are in mid to low 13's with some guys running mid 12's.

However if this is your first time drag racing at a track you'll probably go 14's the first couple passes till you make adjustments.

It has 22 inch wheels as of now.

Would I have to build my transmission if I wanted to daily drive it?

I would say just use common sense.

I don't have a lot of experience pushing the 6 speed but the 8 speed handles 500 tq which a full built NA 5.7 hemi max effort could achieve.

Tire size not wheel.......you can put different diameter tires on a 22" wheel
Diameter of tire determines final gear ratio.

3.92 rear end would be ok. If you have 3.55, or heaven forbid, a 3.21, you need 4.10s.

Make sure you're geared properly, and go from there.

The 5/645RFE is a decent tranny as long as you don't do full power downshifts. In other words, get off the gas, use your slap stick to get in the gear you want, probably second, then romp on it.

Well I was just trying to do some research before I start anything. It already has the flow masters on there. I’m not sure the gear ratio, and I can check the tire specs. But do you guys think it would be fine to daily drive with long tubes, exhaust, cai, and a tune?

LTs, loud muffler, CAI is going to make a lot of noise, and something cool to brag about to your buddies, but if you're not geared to 3.92, or better still 4.10, you aren't making nearly as much forward progress.

In trucks with the 5/645RFE transmission, which you have, rear end gears are the foundation you build on.

WooHoo Enano! Lucky you.

Go for the other stuff!

Post another pic of your truck. I love RCSB (regular cab short bed) trucks.

If it had 3.21 gears how do you go about swapping it to 4.10? Would it just be the final drive at the tune or would I have to open the rear axle?

What kind of shops do this? Or is it possible to get it done at the dealer? Sorry for all the questions, I’m just trying to learn and do my research

I'm not sure where to advise you from there. Good luck!

Enan, if you have 3.92s, you’re good to go.

The difference between 3.92s and 4.10s is only about 4.4%. Not really worth the trouble. If you had 3.21s, obviously 4.10s would be worth your money.

What we’re talking about are the gears in your differential. The bigger the number of your rear end gears, the better “leverage “ your truck has. 4.10s have a pretty big mechanical advantage over 3.21s.

If you simply throw power at a mechanical disadvantage, there is very little to be gained. It like I said, if you indeed have 3.92s you are ready for CAI, Tune, headers, etc.

Good lookin truck btw.
