Well i do computer and printer service and i was out side looking at my oxidized bumper and thought i give the rubber rejuvinator i have that i clean rollers on printers a try at rejuvinating the bumper cover here is a pic of it about half way done. It looks like it works real good.
It removes the oxidation not just mask it and it makes it feel like rubber again!

here is a link where i purchased it Rubber Roller Rejuvenator Can - fixyourownprinter.com i would not reccomend using a spray rejuvinator that you find on ebay or google searches as i do not know what it will do to paint etc...

Its real easy to apply no scrubbing or buffing just wipe it on let it sit for a minitue and wipe it off

I have been using this stuff on printer rollers for years it doesn't just cover the oxidation like wax or armorall it resurfaces the rubber kinda like taking off the top layer so it should last as long as the orignal. At ten bucks a can you can rejuv the bumper 100 times alittle goes a long way

if one thing can do the whole bumper, i would try it fro $10. but than again i don't have the problem of oxidating plastic...something to do with my steel bumper. definitely something i'll keep in mind though.

Those are some really nice results.

You should buy the stuff in bulk, repackage/rebrand it and sell it to the automotive market. :)

How does this work on tires?

I have not tried it on tires yet but I use it on rubber rollers in printers and it cleans them good. I would only use it on the side walls if I did use it on tires

This stuff is more of a deoxidizor than a tire shine or cleaner

So it removes the oxidisation(sp)from rubber and leaves it in a natural state?

I ask this because the bumper material is more of a plastic than a rubber. So this product should, on rubber tires remove the oxidsation and leave the tire black.

Westley's bleachwite does this as well, but it is very hard on the rubber because it is a bleaching /degreaasing compound. I would llike to find somethng not as harsh. I dilute Bleachwite 1:1 but it still is pretty harsh.

What is the long term effect of this on rollers...does it dry them out and cause to decay after so many cleanings?

Pardon my skeptisism...but sometimes too good to be true is just that.

Since you have the product on hand, could you try ot on a half a tire, or a small area?

It takes a worn smooth roller and removes all the paper dust and adds gription (if thats a word) and makes the roller feel like it did when it was new.

In all the times i have used rubber rejuvinator i have never seen it mess a roller up if anything i have used it to make a roller last long enough to order a new one and in those casses the rollers were worn down so much that the pressure between the roller and paper was minimal.

Like i said this was the first time i have tried it on the bumper and head lights only time will tell how good it works. so far it is holding up in the rain and the hot florida sun. when you first apply it thr plastic/rubber(the bumper covers are kinda inbetween rubber and plastic not to soft and not to rigid)it feels kinda sticky after you wipe it off in a day or so that stickyness goes away or you can wash with soap and water. on the head lights i wipe it on and wiped it off then washed with soap and water as they are more like plastic then rubber. I HVAVE NOT TRIED THIS ON MY ACCURA HEADLIGHTS BECAUSE I DONT KNOW IF IT WILL DAMAGE THEM. i will try it on some i find in the junk yard first

I will try it on an old tire i just took off the truck and post pictures
