So I've noticed a couple of times now I've had problems with the electronics in my limited.
First time the transmission lights all stayed off, and so I couldn't swap between 2 and 4WD. Turning ignition off and on did nothing. It fixed itself - by magic of course - when I was at the dealer. I parked it, locked it and when I came back to show the SA it was ok.

Of course the reason I was at the dealer was because a bolt fell off the swaybar and it was making a godawful clunk. But I digress...

So now its latest thing is to freeze the touchscreen when in surround camera mode. Screen is blank, touchscreen is unresponsive and turning off and on (even if you exit and lock) doesn't fix it. It's happened twice - something to do with putting it into reverse right after starting it, but I haven't isolated it any further than that.

Anyone else having these issues?

I have constant issues with the electronics in my Rebel. WIFI has to be turned off and back on before you can use it, Android Auto gets really confused and can't read messages or allow me to reply, UCONNECT software can't find my vehicle parked in front of my house, Radio changing channels randomly???

Hi aatk and Swordfish,
We're sorry to hear about the troubles you are having with your Uconnect systems. We are happy to look into this for any potential software updates for you both if you'd each like to send us a private message with your VIN.

To all our Ram Social Care Specialist. The service/help that you provide us is honest and often effective. I have had your help. But the most important thing you can do for us customers, the Brand and the RAM reputation is communicate with our head of RAM, Reid Bigland. FCA gave him one job at the end of 2018. "Manage the RAM truck division" He needs to understand (not be told how to run his company) that the Brand is sliding into the abyss. The type of quality complaints like the one above reflects a gap in the Company's ability to correct and resolve problems. That is his responsibility. Funky, stupid intermittent electrical problems. Leaking exhaust systems in some 5.7 and 6.4 trucks. Cam and lifter failure in some Hemi's. Leaking cabs in some. None of these reflect a "wide spread" business platform failure. They are just well known problems with some vehicles that stop other people from buying the Brand.
"Most" Dealers have no incentive or interest in resolving these issues. They see them as factory defects or design issues and not their responsibility. Hearing the truth and facts from you folks, just might cause him to take an objective look at this. He may tell his direct reports, if they do not put the parts vendors on notice regarding inconsistent quality parts and put assembly on notice that shipping out known defective trucks must stop,,,,nobody will get a bonus.
