I am probably going to be swapping gears soon with my next few pay checks being saved up for it. I am running 35s so the math says I need 4.10 gears.
There isn't any difference in price between the 4.10 and 4.56 gears. Wouldn't going to the 4.56 be better overall?

If you don't swap the fro t gears and engage 4wd you'll blow the transfer see in half... Not a good idea. If you can get 4.56 years though, go for it. You'll wish you had when you install the 4.10's.

It would be kinda fun to watch!!! Probably start loading up HEAVY after about 3-4 inches of roll,, then 'the unstoppable force' would soon meet 'the immovable object!'

Wonder how far it would actually go (on pavement) before it spit parts out?

But yea, don't do that lol. Either swap both sets of gears or do the rears and physically remove ur front drive shaft. Essentially making it a 2wd. I could be wrong but I don't think theres a slip yoke on the front. Haven't poked around under mine much yet.

How much highway driving above 70 mph do you do. If you're staying 35s I would recommend 4.56 if you don't do a ton of highway driving and 4.10s if you do travel at high speeds often. I swapped 4.56s into my 06 f150 with a 4 speed transmission from 3.55s and it made a world of difference.

It's always good practice to go one step higher on gears for lifted trucks driven on the street. You'll be much happier. Plus if you ever decide you wanna go bigger, like 37's you'll be all set!

I would go with 4.56 gears also. If you're putting out the money anyway, the added performance off the line is more than worth it.

To put things into perspective:

Highway with 0.67 OD 4.56gears:
70mph 33" tires - 2175rpm
70mph 35" tires - 2050rpm
70mph 37" tires - 1940rpm

Highway with 0.75 OD 4.56gears:
70mph 33" tires - 2435rpm
70mph 35" tires - 2300rpm
70mph 37" tires - 2175rpm

Highway with 0.67 OD 4.10gears:
70mph 33" tires - 1960rpm
70mph 35" tires - 1845rpm
70mph 37" tires - 1745rpm

Highway with 0.67 OD 3.55gears:
70mph 31.6" tires - 1770rpm
70mph 33" tires - 1695rpm
70mph 35" tires - 1600rpm
70mph 37" tires - 1510rpm

If only! I'm content with my 31.6" and 3.55 gears. The only issue I have is (perhaps it's not really an issue) is that my HEMI feels like it hits a turbo at 2500rpm but is relatively sedate below that. I was contemplating on going 4.56 gears and sticking with the stock tire size which would run me 2275rpm at 70mph. The throttle response along would be fantastic, especially when traveling these slow 50mph (80km/h) backroads as I could pass easily without downshifting. Mileage probably wouldn't take too much of a hit as I do 75% of my driving in the city with a one and a half ton trailer on the hitch.

2011's still have a bolt on front ring gear. Its the 12+ that have to replace the entire front axle.

The 2011's do have the 9.25ZF rear, but we can easily fit the regular 9.25 4.56's by getting a machined LSD from Modern Performance Engineering.

Its a fairly easy swap for the 2011's.

My 09 5.7/3.92 resembled that remark,, at about ~3k~,,, IMHO, I 'mentally linked' it to when the active intake/short runners opened up,,,

$599 from Modern Performance Engineering. Nothing is needed for the front...just bolt in the aftermarket gears.
