good running boards

Does anyone know from experience where to get good running boards? . Is $800 too much for some, (non automatic) from dealer? I have a blue 2015 ram sport qc.

$800 is a TON for non-automatic running boards. Lots of good options for less than $500 depending on what you want.

Kinda not sure what you are looking for.

Do you want running boards, nerf bars or step bars?

A running board looks like a body extension, sucked up right against the body, like so:

Nerf bars stick out a bit, like a hoop, like so:

Step bars look a bit like nerf bars but have a separate step attached to the main bar, like so:



There are a lot of good choices available of the last two. And, of course, the automatic units such as the AMP Research products, give you that extra feature of dropping down when you open a door but then suck up under the rocker panel when you close the door.

So what style you looking for?

Most of that is dealership labor.... this is definitely a project you can do yourself. You can find a lot of different style "step rails" online as Maddog displayed. Let us know what you're looking for and that can definitely help judge the price you're being quoted.
