ok gentlemen, i picked up a new bumper yesterday, got one with fog light holes this time. the plastic on the bottom has a scuff on it, and it doesnt have the cutouts like mine does. so im taking my bottom plastic off, to swap over. i'll try and snap a few pics this evening, and get them up. i still havent ordered a new grille shell yet, but im really thinking about trying to paint it myself this time. i guess i'll burn that bridge when i get there. i'll get back in here later with some updates.

ok, so my laptop isnt reading my sd card, i'll have to get the wife to put them on the desk top, and i'll get em on flickr so i can post them. got all the plastics swapped over to the new bumper, and have it loosely mounted on the truck. i ran out of daylight, and had to finish with a droplight hung around my neck.

well, saturday i ordered a new grille from am-autoparts on ebay, $80.90, with free shipping, it got to my house yesterday. opened the box as soon as i got home, and one side was broken. i sent them an email last night when i saw it broke, by 10 o'clock this morning i had another grill shipped on their dime. they told me to hold onto the broken grill for a few weeks till ups asks to inspect it. they had asked if i could describe the damage, how the packaging looked, and ect. rather than do all that i sent pics of the damage and they have been super sellers to deal with. so my new grill will be here next week, and i'll get it to my painter.

yea, its well past time to polish the headlights again, and ive been waiting for a weekend to get out to the junkyard and pick up some fogs

You should replace them with 99+ Sports, they're way better than the lights we have.

how hard is it to do the swap?

Not as hard for you since you have an 01, hardest part for you would be getting/making the relay kit that makes them work properly.

i saw one on diesel truck resources that im trying to decipher

got my bumper pretty much ready I had a chrome one but found a way easier way to fill the gap in between the grille and bumper so I got another that's paintable. instead of adding metal to the top like the chrome one, I did pie cuts where the bumper dips down and pushed it up. and then to push the bumper in so it doesnts stick out to farin the front I had to cut roughly two inch on the ends to align with fender
