what do you guys think? ive been going back and forth trying to decide weather to get a 3rd gen rear bumper and mod it to fit... or throw a roll pan on it

Did you have to trim the sides to line up with the fender or does it naturally? And do a 3rd gen rear, it looks awesome on 2nd gens!

no trimming required, just patience and a tape measure

Not bad lookinm, though if I do a 3rd gen, I'll have to slice some of the thickness dowmn, and set it in closer to the bed

I would just like having the trailer plug up in the bumper, rather that hanging on the hitch.

Also I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to add a piece to the bottom of the tailgate to cover that gap, rather than cutting the bumper?

well... it looks like i'll be needing the full bumper after all, just came across a deal i cant pass up... gonna get an 91 xj on wagoneer dana 44's with a 4.0 h.o. and 6" of lift... So no roll pan, I'll be towing the toy

i think im going to start calling around to the truck accessory shops, and see if i can find a painted bumper. they are always selling take offs.
