Help me please! Gears

2018 Ram 1500 4x4 Lar
Can the front differential be changed out? If anyone can help direct me to all parts needed to make this truck re-gear 4.10 or 4.56 I need a parts list dealer said they will do the work and warranty truck but I have to buy the parts and I don't know exactly what I need... I find the gears for the rear but not the front Thanks

The front diff is only available in 3.21 or 3.92, it has welded carrier in in. Which makes it not interchangeable. You can buy a diff from an older truck and change the gears out from it, but that’s a whole lot of work.

Search the forum, there are a couple of threads where guys have done it, and one of them has a complete parts list. If I remember right he said it cost him right around $5k

$5K for gears?... ********, i'm glad i went with 3.92's, i'll spent the $5K on a Maggie setup if i was looking for more performance. I paid $2k to have this done in my Jeep Wrangler, 4.56's front/rear, Detroit Trutrac front and Eaton elocker rear.. parts and labor included in the price OTD, and the dudes came to my garage and finished the whole job in about 3 hours without making a mess

Yeah, it’s the removal of ****** diff and installing/modifying the new(old) diff, then changing the gears.

I just bought the truck beans new in August 2018, they will honor the factory warranty drive train

Must be a very nice dealer. I purchased mine new in June 2018 and when I asked the dealer about a gear change last month they said 12 months / 12,000 miles dealer warranty only, factory warranty for the rear axle would be gone. I only have 5K miles on the truck now.

Don't see how they could warranty a 2006-2011 front differential because that's what it's going to take to regear to 4.10 or 4.56 in a 4x4.

My thoughts exactly, only way would be if he bought a brand new 3.92 front diff
