Thanks for the reply Jimmy07! That info is helpful!

Did you run the newly created harness up one side of the truck, or did you send the passenger door wires along the passenger doorsills? Not sure how much access there is to send the harness around the front of the cabin, so any tips you could suggest would be great. Especially considering I may have no choice but to do this installation outside.
Yes, driver door along driver side sill, and passenger door along passenger side sill. I ran my front antenna along driver side sill up to front, then under the footwell carpet to my floor console area (manual t-case shifter). You can run it whatever way you want if you see an easier way to conceal it on it’s way to the center console area.

I noticed after looking more closely at your 'back wall' picture where you show how you mounted the RF Hub and rear antenna that you did in fact have a 'harness' running toward the passenger side. I sprung for another $10 spool of wire (black/white) and will use that wire pair for the door handles on each side and use the green/white (you linked to) for all the antennas. I'll also probably run my Hideaway sub's audio signal wires along the passenger side when I do the passenger door wiring so that the sub power is on the complete opposite side of the truck.

Yeah, the reason I suggest the twisted pair is for situations like yours, when people have other power and signal cables.

Yes, tested one without pin or wiring and it snapped right in as expected.

So my hunch about looking like the hood-latch connector paid off

Just to clarify, while it may “look” similar to the hood latch connector, they are not interchangeable. 66VKrRQ.jpg

Not the greatest video ever made, but here's a link to a youtube video from Auto Tech Electronic (the guys who make the full kits for sale) of one of their techs installing the pins into the door handle connector: the connector and pins are shown pretty well. He also demonstrates removing the pins from the connector.

And one more job aid: Here's a snippet from ALLDATAdiy showing the mounting location/instruction for the front (center console) antenna. Note that the page doesn't specify a location for the jumpseat equipped trucks.

Also; the antenna mounting location for the doors (on a quad/crew, those are the rear doors) show that it mounts up behind the door handle. Without tearing apart my truck (it's 6 degrees and they're calling for more snow here ), I'm not sure how much room there is in there, but the regular cab trucks put the antenna in a spot above where the door lock wire harness runs into the interior of the carrier plate (an "x-ray" pic of this is attached).

Mounting to the Occupant Restraint Control (ORC) Module:

Center Console Antenna Mounting Instruction.JPG

The stock regular cab location of the door antenna (Connection D3101A points to the connector):

Are the wire lengths you listed, per your application of placement in the rear doors or placement in the front doors?

The wire lengths leave you plenty to put them wherever you think is best in either door, so you can trim to length before you put the connector on.
On my tradesman, none of the factory locations pointed out in the service manual would work. Behind the inside door lever is too shallow to get the trim ring back on. The other location had two raised plastic ribs. Down by the speaker in either door is nice and wide open.

So I purchased all my connectors needed for this installation and I don't need all of these. So if some you guys want to save some money on the NEXUS items (7283-6079-30 & 7116-4720-02) and the one Mouser (571-1355717-1-CT) I hope this will help you. FYI for anyone buying the items needed for just the harness. Both orders were $42 each give or take $0.75. I will have mine in hand early next week. Let me know if you want any!

If I get 17-18 Rf hub module that has remote start already in it. Can I ad remote starter easier with out spending $$$ 250 at the dealer for the kit or it doesn’t make a difference?
