Thanks for the video!

I got a kick out of how I misread the "items you will need" screen. I read it as needing 5 10mm sockets. They mean 5-10mm sockets, but at the rate that 10mm seem to run away, disappear, vanish, I might need 5!

Something else I was thinking - if we put the door antennae in a non-factory place anyway, is there room to just put them in the B or C pillars instead? It would save wiring complexity (wouldnt need to fish so many wires into the doors)

C might be a little too far away, but definitely B pillars. You could test out C pillar temporarily during the install

Man, this is gonna bug me, and I don’t want to update the parts list till I know for sure. Hey, @skuppy069 , you wouldn’t happen to have the connector end that you cut off your door handles to see if those terminals are male or female, would you?
I can check this evening when I get home and send some close up pics

I can’t seem to find where I put the cut off connectors
I’m pretty sure they have male pins in the connector .

2 things I didnt see,

1) How did you setup the new Fobs, or did you buy a set that were paired with the new Hub?

2) How do you get the original pin?

For the new fob, it’s in the 4th post in the programming instructions. Open program fobiks highline system in the RF Hub, enter your PIN, and follow the prompts on the screen. Basically it just tells you to hit the unlock button on the new fob, and that’s it.
Get the PIN from dealer parts department (outlined in the last sentence of post 2)

I should have everything by Monday, including the Nexus connectors and door handles. I will post pics and confirm.

I just got a quote on the parts list (the Mopar hard parts) from Benny at allmoparparts.com, and he confirmed a part number for the Receiver-Hub (RF Hub) that will work for a 2016 (not sure for '13-'15, but it could work): 68245484AC. As an aside, this is the part number for the hubs that is listed on the autotechelectronic kits.

I assume that should be the correct part, as searching on a BUNCH of Mopar parts sites showed that it would fit a 2016 and had keyless go and remote start. But to try to ensure my hunting was correct, I followed Jimmy07's advice and searched Autotrader to find a 2016 1500 Crew Cab truck (Laramie trim in this case) that offered keyless enter and go, remote start but no air suspension. I shared that truck's VIN with Benny, and he's confirming that the above part will work for a 2016. The order is placed, so I'll see soon enough if it's truly compatible!

As another aside, if you're interested in TWO keyfobs for your truck, this is a link to a 2-pack of the same fob Jimmy07 listed in the first post. Going this route will save you $10 on the total price...

I use a different site to find the parts myself, but I looked up your 2016 and it comes back to the same part. That part has technically been superceded by the same number but ending in AD instead of AC. I have a feeling when its superceded like that you order the old part number and will receive the newer. Either way that looks to be correct for your truck!

My 17 uses a different number altogether, presumably because it has the antenna built in.

And another question - with all of these extra antennae installed, do any of them give better range for the factory keyless and/or remote start?

So, after running across this post by mjf6175 https://www.ramforum.com/threads/oem-push-button-start-kits.110658/page-8#post-1913453
I’m starting to wonder if the 2017-2018 hub would work for all years. He’s got a 2017, but they sent him an older hub and it worked. They just had to send him the external remote start antenna that the older hubs required, but the newer hubs have built in. But...that would be a $77 roll of the dice.

Ha. That's my pic I took last week at the parts counter. I don't see why the '17-'18 hub wouldn't work in 14-16 ... '13's have different Can-bus language from my understanding.

Jimmy07: just a quick question on the door handle connections: what colors are the existing door handle wires (stock)? They appear to be red/black. If so, which is the signal and which is the return? Do you have a pic of the connection that you made that shows the wire colors from both the handle and your twisted pair (to show, say, red to green/black to white, or however you configured yours)?

Thanks...parts/connectors/wire is all on order. Once everything arrives, my biggest hurdle will be finding a garage to do the install!

I (STILL) don’t have my handles yet, but, when you get the handles and look at the connector on it, you will see a 1 and a 2 stamped on the connector next to the pin positions. Position 2 is the return. This is the case for door and antenna connectors.

Thanks for the reply Jimmy07! That info is helpful!

Did you run the newly created harness up one side of the truck, or did you send the passenger door wires along the passenger doorsills? Not sure how much access there is to send the harness around the front of the cabin, so any tips you could suggest would be great. Especially considering I may have no choice but to do this installation outside.
