Yes the controls screen would come up on the radio with the appropriate soft keys for the wheel and the seats.

Whats the guarantee? If I buy it and doesnt work and activate the seats what does one do?

The little down arrow next to the option doesn't do anything?

nope just opens a pull down, 3 of which are grayed out, 1 which just tells you a description and the other is fault data. None of the 3 that are grayed out look like something that would configure the truck. Im thinking its a software thing that it doesnt have the chrysler license.

Funny note is it pulled all the hidden codes from when my battery died, the power steering, air bag and so on. Also refreshing deleting those codes and all checked out green arrow.

1 part worried me is the passenger seat had an open circuit heating element, so an error it was bad, but when re-checked it was good to go.

I have a mechanic that also has the Matco tablet, he is in tomorrow. If that doesnt work out guess whos getting a 500 piece of hardware to get his seats going. Anyone with AE can you tell me how large the install is on the computer. I want to install on Tablet just want to make sure I have enough room.

Or I have the J2534 from that scanner. Will the Techauthoirty software allow me to use it and update my BCM?

I cant get to it to even see it without a subscription. Anyone a subscription that can see what all that software can do. I wonder if it will limit me based on Vin or let me go all ***** nilly?

Tech authority cannot and does not do any programming, its purely for reference material. The only Ram way to program the vehicle is the same way the dealer does it using a WiTech tool + active dealerconnect subscription. Our genie is proven to work and activate the heated wheel/seats and vented seats if applicable.

Here's a bit of info from Benny regarding the seat wiring harnesses on a 2013 2500:

The 2013 pass side harness are as follows:
68203796AB with 10 way driver seat/ Front htd seats
68203801AB with 10 way memory drivers/ 6 way pass & htd second row seats

The 2013 drivers side harness are as follows:
68203799AA 10 way drivers seat
68203800AA 10 way memory drivers/6 way pass
68203802AA with 10 way memory drivers/ 6 way pass & htd second row seats.
68205017AA with 10 way driver seat/ Front htd seats

This at least explains why some of you have the dangling connector for the heated rear seats and some do not.

I have to look closely at mine but I don't think my front seats have the rear seat heater connector dangling.

and here's a bit more that touches base on a memory seat/mirror module under the seat?

for a 2013 2500 the heated seat module would be 68058083AI. There is also a memory seat and mirror module listed as 5026618AF

The underseat wiring does not indicate that it includes the heat option but then again there are only 2 types shown. One with DVD player and one without so there is a very good chance your existing harness will work.

My next trick will be the memory seat and mirrors. I only want the mirrors for the reverse tilt.

I'm wondering if the AE does not see the power fold mirrors because the power fold module is not present? If I remember I will check my truck before I switch the seats just to see if the seats and wheel are in the menu and selectable?

The shop told me my truck will be ready tommorow night. AE tool also arriving Wednesday, seats, switch and clockspring at the ready just need the get up and go to get it done. Praying I have no wiring to run?

Willams did Cuyler take care of you, any change in your status, cooled seats steering wheel working?

I don't think its that the module isn't present. The problem we've had is that nothing you set in the BCM related to the doors seems to matter. I turned on my puddle and signal lights and it had no effect. Rick has them enabled already because the dealer did it, and his settings on AE don't appear to match. I haven't tried getting the power fold module because I had too little faith in it working.

Yeah I can buy the module for $299 or drive out to Orlando for something, didnt ask much more than that. Im sure when Im there they can offer me a price but Im not rolling the dice for that. Driving to Orlando is awful enough.

I have power fold mirrors now, I wonder if they are already memory or does dodge really make 100 different mirrors for options? We will see. That will be my next fight is the mirror dip in reverse.

Im buying the AE tool as soon as I finish writing this sentence. I cant justify $299 for a plug in OBD that costs $8 bucks and can only be used once. I understand Im paying for the software development and R&D but thats a bit much. I had a free app to add sales codes to a BMW that was written by an enthusiast and uses a $14 obd/usb cable and uses an android phone! Im sure the OBDGenie works, Im not questioning that but its a 1 use and then its trash, so Ill spend the extra $150 to allow me to help other members and add more to my truck down the line.

Steering wheel is fun to get off. Pull the 13mm bolt, I didnt have a tool so I just beat the heck out of it side to side till it came free. Everything else on my Bighorn was easy. You will know if you need any wiring from the current seat harness. As they showed me in the beginning of the thread the yellow driver connector is the key.

AE tool order, now the wait . . . .

Not sure if you saw my post on Sunday with all of the other post craziness that was going on in this thread, but I was able to turn the ambient lights on in my door controller for the led handle and map pocket lights and it stayed on. Maybe I have a newer door module or something.

That's interesting. My guess is it probably has more to do with the BCM being different because that's where the setting actually gets written and I believe it's also what responsible for receiving the fold request from the switch and then commanding the modules.

Originally, the AE wouldn't write to that ECU. I worked with their engineer and they got it working, but the values didn't seem to do anything. My guess is that they're writing them at the wrong offset. I asked them to look into it closer and they told me they were considering removing the ability to write anything because too many people with no knowledge were calling up asking for step-by-step instructions on how to add options to their vehicle. So, I dropped it.

Im starting to see a divide of options slowly. The 2013 back and 2014 forward seem to have a difference in options allowed. Can any confirm the BCM on the model years to see if thats a fact?
