Not sure why you have that setting and we don't. Possibly because our trucks are 13 and 14 model years and your truck is a 16.
Yep. Probably something they added later. It might explain the different p/n's for the modules in the later years, too. They may have more parameters that they're looking for.
Which material choice gives you the best result?
So possibly a module upgrade would give you those settings? Deereguy what year was your donor truck again / 2016?
I'm curious to see if yours has that parameter,Rick. I know for a fact that mine doesn't.
Did you turn on any of the options in ECU 5? I noticed yesterday when I was looking that heated seats and/or wheel were turned on in there (I don't remember if it had both or just one) even though I don't remember doing it and didn't put it in my notes. It's possible that it is the reason why I have the comfort options in my RA4 and you don't, so I would enable any features that are in there that you have installed. I can't see how that would hurt.

It's funny my Heated seats and wheel turn on automatically if it's 40° or less but I have no setting for it on my screen. I will go back in and check to see if it's set.
I didn't test them all. I set it to perforated leather as that is what the seats have and it made a big difference on how fast they get warm and how warm they feel. I actually turned them off driving home as they felt pretty warm. I had used them previously this week and they never really felt that hot.
I wonder if it uses the fans because it would know they were there on perforated leather where as the solid would not have them for the cooled part?
So like mine you installed and heat o my no cooled, the you used the AE tool now they work as they should. That's good news.
Groveland is about 3 hours north, might call them to see if they offer any services, or have any shops in my area.
And are we certain this can not be activated with the chrysler tool? Starscan I think they call it? I wonder if the Matco tablet would do it. Few of my service guys have those.
I'm going to hit a few shop guys up tomorrow. If we can find an affordable route this is an easy mod for almost all ram owners. 450 to shell out for the programmer and software is a huge added expense. I'm trying to justify what else I would ever need it for.
Does the higher end rams have tilt when I reverse mitrors. That might be my tipping point for it.

Well the mod for you was pretty easy as you had all of the wiring. I've got at least 16 hours into creating harnesses, running wires, terminating connector ends, etc. If you are coming from a truck that does not have the wiring, it's really not a simple mod. Just my 2 cents..

A loaner program for the AE? Seems a bit impractical except on a local basis. You do realize that it runs off your laptop, this would mean loaning and or shipping your laptop as well as the tool. I would be willing to help someone out close by, but not loaning them my laptop and tool but meeting them as RT so graciously offered me.
FYI: If you have Fiat techs in your area that can do this, then you are blessed, my experience with them is the lack the grey matter to screw in a light bulb.
