I have had the airbags out of my stock seats and I disagree with your shop. The airbags are encased in a plastic shell and attached to the seat frame by two mounting screws. They are not held in the seat frame by the nylon sleeve in the seat cover. There are actually two holes in the nylon sleeve for the mounting screws from the airbags to mount to the seat frame. I strongly believe the nylon sleeve in the seat cover is to direct the airbag in the proper direction when it deploys.

I ordered mine from them too. The day after I placed the order, I thought about the airbags, so I sent him a message asking if the airbags were in the seats and fully operational. They hadn't shipped yet, so I was going to cancel the order if they didn't have the airbags. Fortunately he said that the airbags were there and all working. When I placed the order I took it for granted that all 2016 seats had airbags and that they wouldn't be selling seats without airbags without disclosing that. That really sucks that you got burned.

The ones I've seen him sell without airbags mentioned that in the ad. In fact, it's how I found out that there were 13+ seats without bags. Hopefully it's just a misunderstanding and he can make it right.

When I bought them from him he never mentioned no airbags and the add said they came from either 1500 or 2500 can't remember exactly

So whats the trick adding the soft keys to the radio? Got the hard buttons to work finally, longest week of my life. Now just need to add the to the stereo! Thanks guys for the work.

Thats where the hard buttons were, but it didnt add them to the controls area on the 8.4 radio. ECU3 worked for making the hard buttons work though. Almost too easy, and my chrysler guy said impossible to get them working at all.


Well I went back out to the truck and there they are, now to figure out how to add them to remote start.

Are you 100% sure that setting ECU 5 didn't enable the hard buttons? I had enabled the ECU 3 options first, got the buttons on my screen and my hard buttons didn't work. When I enabled ECU 5, they came to life. Same happened for my wheel, I had ECU 3 enabled for a week, had the wheel button on my screen, but it wouldn't work until I enabled ECU 5. Maybe for the hard buttons to work correctly, both has to be enabled. We just did it in a different order.

I set everything in 3 first, didn't look at 5 at all. Left the truck wondering what I was missing as the hard buttons worked after an ignition cycle. Went out the screen was blank where the heated and cooled would be, read the radio, climate control, and heated seat module which had no changeable settings and went back to body control, read the door module and it had setting in it and when I went in the ventilated seats and heated seats were already set to present. 1 more ignition cycle and they showed up in the radio.

I think reading the modules it polls the bcm and added them as it is the master of the truck. I could be wrong but it worked?
