OK heated wheel clockspring is
Old number. 56046864-AC
New number 68110740-AD
Always make sure you double check before you order but these are the part numbers I used.
Heated wheel harness is. 68163716-AC
Double check this part# as well before you order. The clocksprings are expensive. Unfortunately in most cases it's not safe to buy them used because they don't center them when they remove them from the vehicle so you have no way of aligning them when you install them in your truck. If you buy one new it will come locked out in the center position and you just install it with your steering wheel straight up and down it's very simple.

Ok just an update. Ordered the harness and picked up a wheel from a laramie. Next will be the clockspring and can someone tell me if the wheel install is straight forward or leave it to the pros?

It's pretty straightforward. Couple YouTube videos and some time it is not too bad. Just have to make sure you don't smash any wires and the clock spring is centered. Most everything else is plug and play.

If you picked up a complete wheel out of a Laramie it will already have the harness in it. The only time you would need the harness would be if you purchased a heated steering wheel bare and then converted it over. The installation is strait foward. The only tricky parts will be removing the airbag if you haven't done one yet it might take you a littke while to figure it out and make sure the new clockspring stays centered when you install the new wheel. Once you take it apart it you will see its not that hard. As stated there are some pretty good videos on you tube you can watch. I think someone said there was a video of some guy actually taking the clockspring apart for whatever reason. You don't need to do that. The clockspring comes off in one piece after you remove two small screws.

Yes the wheel is complete. I also have the buttons coming. The videos arent that great for the clockspring part one guy does take it apart but he has his truck hooked to a computer and it shows how easy it is to be off on the steering angle even if you just bump it a little. This is where i get lost

If your talking about the audio control buttons if it's a wheel off of a Laramie or Bighorn horn or any higher trim level it should already have the audio buttons on the steering wheel. As far as the clockspring goes it's not difficult if you buy a new one it will come locked in the center position there's a small hole in your steering wheel that the tab slides into from the clock spring it's very straightforward as long as you don't turn it 360 degrees one way or the other you are fine.

Oh btw no i wasnt talking about the audio buttons. Thats all intact on the new wheel. Im talking about when the clockspring is removed on the video the guy grabs a little tab near the spline and basically says this has to be set at 0 or no more than 0.6 whatever the heck that means. He also shows it on his computer hooked to the truck. When he moves it the numbers raise or lower

Yes when you pull it all apart you will see what I am talking about. Remove the steering wheel bolt( after you remove the airbag) make sure your steering wheel is strait up and down. If you look where the steering wheel bolts to the column on the bottom side you will see where the clockspring tab pokes through a small hole in the steering wheel. This is what keeps it centered. I have always been able to remove the wheel by wiggling it back and forth and gently pulling it towards myself. When you feel it coming lose stop pulling as hard and it should slide off. You will see the clockspring assembly. Use some masking tape to secure the clockspring in the centered position remove the two screws and any plugs and remove it. Install the new clockspring the same way and plug in all the connectors including the connector that's for the heated wheel that is held in a dummy slot on the right side of your column. Remove the yellow locking key and carefully slide your wheel back on making sure the clockspring tap slide into to small opening in the steering wheel. You will notice there are separations in the splines on the steering shaft the coincide with your steering wheel to help you put the steering wheel on exactly centered as it was before. Take the lock and key you took off the new clock spring and lock out the old clock spring so it will be good for someone else to use in the future and you are done put it back together.

Hmm, looks like I have about 112 pages to read tonight. From what I've gathered so far in the first few pages my 2015 Bighorn 2500 should already have the modules for the ventilated seats since I already have the heated seats and wheel. Did I read that correctly?

Your truvk.has the wiring for the cooled seats but the module itself is connected to the bottom of the drivers side seat. If you upgrade to new seats they should have the modules in the seats you purchase. For your truck you would need to purchase the correct switch panel for the cooled seats plus posibly add the correct sales codes in order for them to work. I have done some that work right away but of corse the seats don't come up on the radio without adding the codes. Other trucks won't work at all unless you add the proper sales codes. You can easily add the codes if you're near somebody that has the AE tool such as myself or if you're not close to anybody with the tool you can buy a Genie from infotainment to program the codes into your truck. It's actually very simple to add the cooled seats to your truck since it's already pretty wired from the factory. You basically install the seats plug them in add the switch panel and add the codes and you're good to go.

Thanks, I had a feeling I might have misread that. Now my search begins for new seats and the switch panel.

I cannot remember what year your truck is but if it is a 2013 and takes a different switch panel make sure you have the correct one the 2014 and up switch panels are different than the 2013. You would not remove the buttons from the switch panel you had basically just replace the whole switch panel you would need to buy one that had all the options your truck had plus the ventilated seat option. If your truck has a trailer brake option those switches will just pop out and pop into your new Switch panel.

It is a 2015. Not sure what year the switch panel came from. Mine is a 2500 with a Cummins so it also has exhaust brake button. The new one only has heated wheel, seats, traction control and tow haul.
