How to Add Overhead Console

Just ordered my overhead console with homelink, to replace mine that doesn't have homelink.... I'm way to excited about this... Lol

If you had the O/H CONSOLE already with compass module that worked , you will need a dealer to flash the CV2 sales code for homelink to work .

If you did not have the o/H console previously you will require the dealer flashed codes CUN & CV2

If your truck has the RA2 radio with the compass and the overhead console already it's a plug and play you will not need to add any codes the CUN and CV2 codes should already be loaded in your truck. Just pull down your console remove it and plug in the new one. It's important that you make sure you install a Homelink/compass module for a 13 and up.

Truck , I looked back and seen you already had the O/H Console with compass , so you must've had the RA2 already.

No problem, yep I have the console already with the RA2 radio with compass, I will let everyone know the outcome as soon as it gets to my door step and installed!!

Mine came with the RA1 with no console and then I added the console with the home link it was plug and play, no compass on the radio after I upgraded that but the homelink works perfectly and shows up in the evic no codes required.

No sunroof buttons. The slot for it and the sliding window and home link are missing the blanks that go in the slots.

I don't have a rear sliding window in my truck and was wondering if I can change it out just that piece with a plain one and what the part number would be thanks. Or if someone has the plain piece and wants to trade I would be willing to. Pic is below what I'm talking about.

I have the plain express one with just the maplights. Could you rig those buttons on the upgraded model like above for the sunroof or rear slider to turn on leds or whatever you come up with? I know you can use the dead buttons in the dash I ordered a pushbutton switch to try to make a button work. Just curious. Thanks

Sorry, please disregard. I saw your post originally without the picture. Just so you know, that switch is the rear window slider switch. The sunroof switch is a 3-button switch.

I hear you I'm kind of scared at doing this. I might try and get someone to do it for me because I have no experience in electrical at all lol I'm sure you could use it for other stuff if you wanted to. But wouldn't know how.

I just installed a overhead console with Homelink. I had the compass and it was an easy plug and play. Works great with my garage door!!!
