Curious how your original hub works with carplay considering it wasn't even a thing back in Ram trucks in 2017? As I understand it you need a 2018 premium USB hub (there are a few different versions) for the carplay function to work.
Sorry I jumped the gun guys. I edited my original post. I was able to connect to Android Auto and Carplay. But the screen will either stay black and says it disconnected or everything will pop up briefly and then says disconnected

I know you said that infotainment isn’t helping but they sold you the kit and should be making it right, whatever the issue is. At this point for people on the forum to help I think you need to figure out what part number the radio is, part number for your USB hub and what software is being run on the radio itself. You have to go into dealer mode I think to get the software version which I think you press and hold on the two bottom corners when you boot up the radio and you can see the software version and all that.

@Mpgrimm2 installed the radio. most everything worked a few things didn't, but this radio did not wig out when starting the truck. HD tuner is nice and i can play music from my phone the interface is horrid though, but that could be due to some wiring that i havent done. i already have a 7 speed fan so thats not a biggie, but i am still confused about the blend door. that could be an issue. on the other truck the transition was much smoother, but this one is abrupt and steps are wide so i will have to do something about that. Okay, i just need to figure it out i guess...

Sorry,
I had to go back and look though the thread posts to see that you had a 2013 ram 2500? with glitchy factory 8.4 RA3 (MTC) and were looking into the AA/CP upgrade with a 2018 ram UAS 4c radio.

See first 5 posts of the following thread... Videos linked there as well ...

I posted pictures of the upgrade radio. Not sure what features actually come with it. Is there a way to tell?

As Gordo indicated...

UAQ or UAS? What pn is your radio?

What "application version" is your radio on?

It appears to be a radio SW driver version with the USB Hub. a radio SW update appears to fix it. Panasonic radio SW goes by the"application version"

v39.6 is the latest, some have bricked their radios doing the updates... Not sure if they did something incorrectly.

InfoT should be able to give you a link to DL SW update for your radio
4C UAQ PN: 68461741AA
Media Hub PN: 5XG28DX9AD

That media hub part number should work with UAQ/UAS radios (made for Jeep vehicles but works). For the radio is that the part number that's on the back of the unit? I don't recognize that one and it's not coming up on any of the MOPAR sites.

These are the only two stickers that are on the back

So messing around on the parts site I found this: https://parts.allmoparparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-multi-media-radio-68461741ag

I searched for the part number with only the first A and got a hit. As I understand those letters will tell you what version of that part they are on. AA would be the first version and then AB/AC/AD and so on. The MOPAR site is saying this radio is for Charge/Challenger/Chrysler 300 vehicles. Some folks on here have gotten MOPAR radios from Jeeps to work in Ram trucks but I think the sentiment around here is to stick with radios that are meant for Ram trucks. Infotainment might be trying to get away with sending you a radio that's not designed for Ram trucks and maybe that's why your having issues with the media hub's.

No idea if this is on the right path but something to inquire about with Infotainment.

To add on to this, here's some but notall verified 4th gen Ram 4c PNs so far ...

---------------------
2018/19 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (USA) 68331631Ax (UAQ 4c Nav)
or 68331635Ax (UAS 4c non-nav)

2020 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (USA) 68461699AB (UAQ 4c Nav)
or 68461703AB (UAS 4c non-nav)

---------------------
2018/19 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (Canadian)
68331632Ax (UCQ 4c Nav)

2019/2020 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (Canadian)
68340153Ax (UCS 4c non-nav) ---------------------

Based on the above PN sequence/prefix
I suspect that is a 2020 unit, from a challenger/charger, etc as Gordo mentioned... They would have had to change the case/mount so it would fit the ram b/c I believe the mounts are different.
* Not necessarily an issue as a few have done so without issue. Some PNs and SW seem to be compatible, but as stated, not recommended.

Also, based on your application version, you have Canadian SW and v29.x.x.
(Not sure where you're located)

Latest shipping version of Ram/Cherokee SW appears to be v39.6.x

Thanks for the help. @Gordo2212 @Mpgrimm2 This was their response and I'm in Massachusetts. They are going to exchange the Hub as a place to start.

Hi Guys

I am Canada based and have been scanning through this post. I located a unit from the USA. I ran the vin which the dealer provided and the build sheet mentioned it had GPS. After installing the unit in my 2015 RAM 1500, I have a few issues. Backup camera says "camera unavailable not available" and no navigation icon? I have attached a pic of the unit. Is it really a GPS enabled UAQ 4C? How can I resolve my issues?

You're not going to have any luck with that 5th Gen Aptiv/Delphi radio. See a few posts up for 4th gen UAQ UAS and UCx PNs.

Like mp grim said no luck in a 4th gen with that radio.1 it's a 5th gen non nav.i think the nav have the screen seperate.this unit doesn't allow use of climate controls on the screen they are manual controls on the 5th gen with this radio.plus varied other issues.
