I just purchased the media hub adapter harness from you=) Ive seen mention of the Jailbreaker enigma, is this something I would need? or is it a plug UAQ in and see what I get? just trying to to get the parts in advance. Thank you again for the response, I also ordered the Compass Media HUB, im hoping ill be good to go, I already have ATC with my current UAS.

Edit: I do not have heated seats or steering wheel.

Just got through installing the new radio in my 2017 about a week ago, and I’m really enjoying it. I noticed after installation that my tailgate camera was darker, and seemed to auto dim.

Don’t know if anybody has noticed this. I decided to try a new camera, which I got off eBay. It was Mopar and about $85. Solve the problem, and the view is even better than with the old camera. Just wanted to mention this in case anybody else noticed.

So I had some more testing with the camera today. The picture is outstanding, but the picture drops off when you reach 10 mph. The old camera didn’t do this. Not sure what’s up with that

Im pretty sure that is not a function of the camera, but rather the head unit.

I upgraded to an RA4 from my RA3 and I could swear the camera doesnt look as nice on-screen as it used to. I know its not a UAQ/UAS but I wonder if a different camera part number would work better.

Did a little more research. Apparently this is a safety feature. I have no idea why it worked on my 2017 though.
And it worked with the new head unit, but quit working when I swapped cameras

2017? The Apple CarPlay ones were only 2018 for Ram.

Sooooo..... I was in a hurry and bought a radio from a 2018 Ram Limited 2500. I didn't notice that it was actually a Candian market truck. The radio is a 68331632AH vs the 1635AH part. What will it have or not have compared to the others (correct ones) that I have used?

If this won't work in the US- Does anyone in Canada want a good deal on one with 0 miles on it?

Several people were successful using the Canadian 13-17 RAx radios in they're trucks before... It should work if it's out of a Canadian ram truck. Just won't have the 4g cellular modem in it and uConnect services you can't use anyway. Let us know how it goes Iif you get it

So is there somewhere that lists which color coax plugs are what? I know that some won't end up being used. This unit has a few coax plugs without the actual plastic on them to lock it together.

Yes. I believe my 13-18 8.4 FW info and
PN thread or 8.4 conversion thread has a picture and pigtail Adapter links for the connecting to the plugs with missing colored clips

Agreed. Probably sat a salvage yard truck with a broken windshield for awhile. If the outside looks like that, I wonder what the control board inside is like. Hope it works for him and he got a good deal.

It's actually just been sitting in my basement for a while. Normally I have a dehumidifier running but haven't this year. It looked better when I brought it home.

That 2018 camera is quite a bit more expensive than the 2017....wonder what (if anything) they changed.

All I know, so that the 2017 backup camera is relatively dark. Based on Bellaireroad having replacing the backup camera and getting normal lighting, it is worth a try. BTW, I bought this one off of a wrecking yard on EBay.
