Good to know it is not supposed to light up. Just need to figure out why it doesn't do Carplay reliably.

Has anyone tried, or is there a way to, replace just the screen (digitizer) on these radios? There's some good deals out there but the screens are scratched up. Just wondering if I can swap my digitizer into one of those units.

Yes. there is a how to on you tube.I probably wouldn't recommend unless you have done some tedious stuff before.the screen is easy but the boards are separated by 5 half inch spacers that the bolts go through so it's a little tricky if they come loose.and I think a uax digiterzer is like 250.00.that's for a new digitizer with screen

Anyone else getting Amazon music and other music apps showing as a black screen on the vehicle radio when using Carplay? I googled this issue and seems pretty common across multiple car brands, iOS versions and audio apps. The common thread seems to be audio apps like Amazon Music, podcasts, Spotify, etc. I have UAQ, iPhone 6s Plus & iOS 12.4.

Restarting the phone seems to make work for a day or two. Reinstalling the music app did not help nor did restarting the radio.

I'm actually interested in this as well. I have put off cutting any ABS because I'd love to have a printed version. I can't say it would be hard for me to model one up, but I have about two million other things I'd rather work on. Is anyone is willing to share?

Hey guys, read thru this thread, and with the smatterings of "do this", "you need this", I am as confused as a baby in a ***** bar.
2017 Sport 8.4a Alpine, full center console, dual climate, etc. Just what exactly do I need besides the radio & hub?
Do I need to get a nav radio to get android auto to display on screen? Would seem redundant to get a nav radio to be able to use GM over AA.

Since you have factory ATC & 8.4 already you should only need...

- UAx USB Hub Adapter harness (from us)

Nope. Just have to wait for the radio to read out the BCM configuration from the truck. It's done when you have the sxm button on the screen and backup camera works.

Is to have to reset it again pull the fuse near the brake booster.

Wondering if anybody else having the same issue as me. Park sense alert noise works for a day or 2. When i go into settings, its still enabled. If i re-enabled. It works again for a few days. My truck is a 2014 ram 3500 with single zone with mtc. Radio is a UAS. Application #19.9. I haven’t changed the usb hub or done anything yet to fix the hvac issues, but its in the plans. I doubt any of that has something to do with the issue im having.

Does anyone have a good clear picture of the "hidden" fuse near the brake booster on the 1500 ? I am trying to help a fellow RAM owner and he says he can't find the fuse. I sent him a picture from a 2500 but he says he still can't find the fuse.

So im hoping you guys can clarify some stuff for me im doing a upgrade to the 2018 8.4 uaq from a 2016 8.4 uas i know i need the Media hub im going to go with the Jeep compass one unless you recommend something different i also purchased the adapter cable is there anything else i need i purchased the uaq off eBay and it is coming with the unlock code i noticed on your thread that you mentioned that sometimes the cargo cam and backup cam do not work is there a work around for this and also i read that sometimes the heater does not move the mixer door all the way to hot are these still concerns or have they be resolved with a work around my truck has the cargo cam and backup camera also has the heated seats and steering wheel which i need to work on the radio because i don't have hard buttons bellow the radio to turn them on
