I got a k&n cabin filter and the mopar filter cover as a package a couple of months back, the kit included a free recharge kit, sweet deal. Cleaned it and let it dry yesterday, oiled it today with the squeeze bottle that came with it. It was red, didnt think much of it til i was through. Realized they sent me air filter oil after i did the googling.
Anybody got a cabin filter they recommend, pretty sure this one is *****.

I'm not 100% sure here, but you can probably use the filter cleaner to get all the oil off.

Where did you buy it from? I would call them and get a replacement. Why spend more money?

I didnt want to take a chance gumming up my ac, so i got a replacement microgard paper filter. Noticed better airflow with the paper filter seemed to cool quicker. K&n went in the trash

I agree with ditching the K&N, not really worth the trouble for something that's cheap to begin with. I bought two of the Microguards myself off amazon for $15 and some change(that's $7.73 each)and replaced mine for the first time at 14K and it could have definitely went longer. I'll wait 20K miles next time.

It's totally washable. That's the point. You could probably sell it for $20 easy
