I cut the rears today...

I cut 1.5 coils with an electric die grinder. The left and right have different part numbers. Here is the cut and uncut:


Before the rear was at almost 40":


After reassembly the rear is about 38":

I would say it dropped about 1.75", but will probably level out more since I only have 500 miles on it. I've had it for 8 days and haven't even been able to was it yet (obviously), due to it being 35F outside.

Thank you all, I am quite happy with it since it was free and took me less than 1 hour. I had ordered a Ground Force 2" rear kit, but since it was back ordered, I went this way instead.

I managed to get it washed and put a coat of "Liquid Glass" on it today. I couldn't leave that last picture on here without an update.

Ground Force is really missing out on some sales with the constant back-ordering. I had the same kit on order, but tired of the "it will be ready to ship in a few days" excuses.... Just cut them and never looked back.

I can see that my automobile mod addiction is careening out of control.
At 600 miles now I have cut coils, a Bedrug liner, a Bakflip G2 cover, a my Gig radio upgrade and some HIDs and splash guards on the way.
It used to take me a year or more to get that much done.
My excuse is that this truck is for my business and these are legitimate expenses I would like to write off in the 2011 calender year.

Really no different. Biggest change is the headlights go further down the road. I've been flashed a few times since so I guess they will need adjustment, especially when the HIDs get here.
