I know when the wind is blowing, I never get any rain, sleet, snow, tornado watch or tornado warnings, but every time I start to drive on a windy day, the screen notice comes up. I looked through the options and didn't see a way to disable them. Anyone know how?

I don't know. I get them too, along with thunderstorm, and snow storm warnings. I think best thing for me to do is move out of the crappy state of Iowa to somewhere with much nicer weather!!! Haha

I get weather notification for my area and surrounding areas. It's very annoying and I tried to get rid of them too (requires cancelling the Travel Link trial). I've gotten the gumption to try and deal with it several times. I've talked with dealerships (including the one I bought my truck from), RAM, and Sirius XM numerous times.

I've gotten some differing options, which I've tried without success. To get rid of those alerts it boils down to this:

1. Go to the dealership that originally sold the truck (has to be the dealership that activated the trial) and have them cancel it (see below for how well that goes).

2. Cancel your Sirius account and start over (this means every radio and service associated with the account).

So I've contacted my selling dealership several times hoping to eventually talk to someone who has done this before. Nope. No one in Sales has every had this request or has any clue how to cancel a trial (including the Sales Manager). They said they called and talked to Sirius about it (don't know if that's true or not) and nobody has a clue how to cancel a trial.

I have no use for the Travel Link as I don't use my truck to find gas, buy movie tickets, etc., but I do like the traffic. I'm not sure what the trial lengths are now but mine is 5 years. I contemplated canceling and starting over (all I would really lose is traffic and some cash) but, for me, it's more trouble than it's worth to go through all the administration to cancel and restart.

Yeah, right...every single time I get in the truck [and I am in and out A LOT during the day]. Should be a way to cancel it out permanently. Your mileage may vary.

May have to try the Sirius option, hadn't thought of that. Thanks.

No go on the Sirius settings. I do not subscribe so they are all greyed out.
Not know wat to say on this, glad I got plain jane Bighorn with simple plain jane Uconnect 4 radio. I do not have all the fancy stuff. MY only thought there has to be a setting somewhere you can change, hope so ne way.

All I can find reading on another forum: PPL buy this to disable stuff or the only other thought was to cancel their Guardian services.

Disabling weather and all notifications is just 1 of the many features with the Tazer DT. One of the best investments I've made to date with my ram. it is pricey @ $325.00 but IMO totally worth it.

Ha! I just went through this. It's Spring, and all my truck wants to do is tell me the wind is blowing. I don't subscribe to Sirius, and this is how I turned mine off:

1 - Display
2 - Notifications (bottom line on the screen)
3 - The drop down menu under "Notifications" lets you toggle "Sirius XM Travel Link Weather Alerts" to the on or off setting.

So that setting does not exist in my truck. Under Display there is nothing called notifications. There is absolutely no setting that will eliminate this. Much like the MDS...there needs to be a way to shut these things off permanently. I was asked to sell my truck back to the dealer. I jokingly told the guy Id think about it if he found me a Rebel GT. Went online just to see what all came with it and found out you can only get the 5.7 E Torque engine. Makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Regular Rebel gets the regular MDS Hemi. Told him to forget it unless he wants to get me a killer deal on a TRX :cool:.
