Nothing to worry about. I'm almost out of them anyway. I saw a problem that I could solve, and decided to have a go at it. I'm just glad to help.
I for one appreciate it!!!

:) Thanks guys and Ken--by providing enough longitude/latitude hole slop, they are easily fit-able !

I like that term;) hole slop!

It goes against my nature to tolerance things that loosely, but that's how the original brackets we're toleranced.

The only safe conclusion is that Chrysler anticipated that amount of variation between individual trucks, from the same plant, or expected that much variation from different plants.

Either way, tighter tolerances are great untill a customer's part doesn't fit. In which case, reworking a part results in loss.

:) That's just a standard 1-1/4" wood hole saw(hand drill)-

JIMBO, what size hole did you drill for this? Looks like you did it on the truck instead of removing, is that correct?

It' s only 1/8" soft plastic and there's no reason for the removal of the FACIA anyway-works in a couple minutes using a Keyhole saw

Took me about 10 minutes for both layouts/cuts--Kens brackets allow almost 1/2" lateral play for the TOWHOOK positioning--

--"DYNOMITE"--

Good luck-

Awesome. Thanks!

Prepped and primed my hooks tonight, and hopefully I will paint them tomorrow. Install with my "Ken Brackets" will probably be next week.

Cleaned them up, 2 coats of primer, and 3 coats of Rust-Oleum High Performance "Safety Red" Enamel, and now these bad boys are ready for the front of my Ram

I was thinking about doing mine like that in the style of the Trailhawk Jeeps.

The only issue I have is that my truck is red, so instead of looking like an accent it may look like just a poor color match.

Yeah, with the black, i was wanting to do something to make it stand out a bit. Black hooks on a black bumper would blend too much. I haven't seen anyone with red hooks on a painted bumper (although i'm sure there is someone out there), so at least it will be semi unique.

Any progress on the red hooks?

I'd originally considered that, so I'm eager to see what they look like. Don't forget to post a few pics.

:) I don't know of a "TEMPLATE" Just use the pre-formed bumper outline, use a 1" hole drill on each LOGICAL corner--and

I used a keyhole saw, but there are many ways to cut the soft/black/1/8" plastic--

Use some ingenuity/common sense--it's easy--

Finally got the hooks on. I used the method JIMBOX used with a 1-1/4" hole saw and drill, so i'll spare you those pictures. I did take a few shots of them finally installed. Please ignore the dirty truck. Getting detailed this week.

I'm happy with how it turned out. We'll see how the paint holds up. If it doesn't last, i'll go with powder coating. Was going for the Trailhawk look. What do you guys think?

Good job-

Missed this post earlier. They are finally on and the brackets are awesome! Thanks again. They made the process pretty easy to get on and the alignment was spot-on!
