The government is there to protect you. they know wht is best. You must submit to the better good.

I've never run radar detectors. In the truck hauling a trailer, I run the speed limit if traffic allows. When not towing, I run 8 over or with traffic.

I’m glad and so very thankful that you’ve been a whole lot luckier than I have been because honest to God’s truth, considering the cost of the ticket, the cost of the Increased insurance premiums and even the forfeiture of my annual safety bonus, the combined $1200 worth of my two radar detectors has probably more than double- paid for themselves by now.

Same here...never saw the need. and my spot is just like yours...running 8 over between VA and MO. and of course, avoiding Illinois like the plague, I run through Kentucky!!!

you guys are fortunate.....I live in the ONLY state in the country that does not allow radar detectors. Virginia has always had them illegal and you cant even have them in a box in the trunk!!

Last hold out in the country and it is infuriating!!

i remember when i was young and in the navy in norfolk..i bought a passport , probably the most exspenive radar detector available back in '83 i put it in a sunglass case on my visor . I ran for years like that. never had a problem as , back then, the "anti radar detector tech wasnt a big thing w the cops

Moved to maryland and took it out and the flashing lights actually bothered me lol
