Does anyone know where the violet with blue stripped wire coming from the obd 2 outlet that goes to the factory stereo would connect with an aftermarket stereo installed now?

Sounds like you need to get a wiring diagram for the aftermarket stereo your installing. It should specify what terminals the radio are for the CANbus.
I believe most aftermarket radios are not directly connected to the vehicle CANbus, they use a separate module that specific for the vehicle your wiring into that is capable of reading the data.
