About a week ago I did a coolant flush. Today after I parked I noticed some coolant directly under the petcock. It is intermittent and doesn't happen on every trip.

I was very careful with the petcock since it is plastic (and 15 year old plastic at that). I did not over torque it, as soon as it stopped turning I let off

The question : I see Mopar sells a replacement petcock with a new o-ring. How the heck does the petcock come out? Mine stops after a quarter turn, I feel like there must be a trick to remove it.

I want to remove the petcock so I can replace the o-ring or perhaps replace the entire petcock.
I suspect the o-ring is hard or cracked due to age and allowing leakage.

Thanks for any help.

Glue it with high temp permatex and from now on drain it through the bottom line, a better practice anyhow.

See if they have one for coolant lines. I see they have one for water pump.
