I installed Diode Dynamics Led for my 3rd brake light, now I get a dash message that my right turn indicator is not on. It is on, the 3rd brake light led needs to have a resister on it, but does not seem to be one available. Has anyone installed a 3rd brake light led from another company that does not give "the brake light out" message on their dash? Or was there a resister built in to theirs?

If you plan on installing more LED lights in the truck, consider getting the AlfaOBD app. You'll either need an Android phone/tablet or a Windows laptop and an OBDLink MX OBD reader.
You'll be able to set the lights for LEDs and not have to worry about resistors/error cancellers.
There are several other mods you can use AlfaOBD for along with read/clear CELs and can read live vehicle data for troubleshooting.

I have led lights from these guys on ebay in 3rd brake light, cab lights, plate lights and reverse lights with no issues. Had the fancy ones from top brands all gave me issues with light out warnings. Have had them in there almost a year now with 0 issues.

I use a 921 HO (high output) Red led from VLEDS in my high mount / 3rd brake light with no dash message.

I’m pretty sure this is the one I have and it came with a resistor to use if you needed it. Since my 2008 would make the cargo light glow after I installed an Anzo brand third brake light that was completely LED, I figured this 2018 of mine would too so that’s why I went ahead and just plugged in the resistor without actually finding out if it needed it or not and mine works just how it supposed to.
