As many of you may know, Im in the final stages of completing a Laramie dash swap.

I did not elect to go with the factory radio from the 2017 the dash came out of as it would have entailed also pulling the entire factory wiring harness.

My plan was to simply use the OEM radio from my 2011 as it met all my needs. Seeing how the 2011 and 2017 do have slight differences, it turns out I’ll need to do some behind the scenes trimming to make that happen. Not a problem, however it did get me to thinking what aftermarket units others may have installed.

After visiting 2 local shops, I like the idea that I can disregard my separate back-up camera monitor and instead simply use the display from a new radio…. Plus gain the ability to add a front camera as well as incorporate a camera on the rear of my trailer when in use.

Im interested in seeing what is in use out there and as important how it looks installed.

Thanks in advance :waytogo:

crutchfield does have several radios that will work in any particular Ram
They do a bunch of research before adding a radio to match a vehicle
