So my ram has 50k on it currently. I warped the oem rotors at about 20k but it was really only noticeable in the summer. I ran them to about 47k in which I put R1 Concept E-line rotors on it with some powerstop brake pads. Well 3k miles later and I am starting to feel the same thing. Also the black coating has completely worn off the rotor, not just where the pad makes contact with the rotor, but the whole rotor. I have had centrics on quite a few vehicles in the past, and the coating never come off the hats of the rotor. Anyways I am looking for an actual upgrade over the stock rotors.
I see a few options besides the R1 concepts.
Centric (plain, plain/cryo, high carbon, high carbon/cryo)
Stop Tech who I believe is owned by centric has a few version (drilled, drilled/cryo, slotted, slotted/cryo)
EBC (A few different combinations of slotted and drilled)
Power stop
Etc.
I believe some of these if not most all start off as the same blanks and get milled but I could be wrong
