I don't really know much about vehicles, I bought my truck and I've been learning as I go. Looking at different pictures and checking out different ideas is what I'm doing to learn

Friends suggested getting my truck lifted, and I feel if I do that I should get bigger tires

They suggested a leveling kit and a 2" inch lift kit, which I think would look pretty sick. What size tires should I get to not make it look silly? Probably the smallest without it looking funny is what I want.

What about terminology when I go to buy it? Like what would I tell them I want, just exactly what I said? And does anyone have an estimate of how much it would cost?

I attached a pic

I think your friends are suggesting you get a front levelling kit and a 2 inch body lift. With that combination you would definitely want larger tires. Lots of guys on here run 35 inch tires with that combo I think. Lots of options for both of those kits offered by some of the sponsors listed on the right of your screen. You will quickly find there's lots of differing kinds of front levels in varying heights.

If lifting is your plan surf the 4th gen lifted forum. Tons of great info and more of the terminology will start to make sense. Welcome aboard and happy modding.

there is alot to answer here in this question. HAPPY TO HELP !

A leveling kit will raise your front end 2'' depending on what level you go with. Bilstien 5100's, Rancho QuickLifts, Spacers etc etc. Bilstien Shocks will give you adjustable height settings, and Rancho Quick Lifts will give your adjustable shock damping rates. Spacers are the cheapest option, but ( IMO ) not the best idea. Bilstien's provide varying level heights ( .7'' / 1.4" / 2.1"/ 2.8 " ). Most here on the forum stay at 1.4-2.1. The 2.8" may cause you to feel some vibrations when using 4x4. Rancho's will give you a 2.5" coilover spring, and it will allow you to adjust how soft / stiff you want your ride to be. Since you have an 11' you can get away without getting aftermarket Upper Control Arms, however your stock ball joints will wear out faster. The UCA's are nice when paired with a leveling kit. ZONE, and MEVOTECH's seem to be the most common replacements for UCA' s on the forum.

Rims / Tires have alot of options. you have to tell us what size rims you want. that will help us provide you with a better suggested tire size...

There are a couple different ways to achieve a leveled look. Most guys use Bilsteins to level the front, but there are other options such as a spacer (Hell Bent Steel, Zone, etc). If you're planning on doing just a level I would recommend 34"-35" tall tires. On the stock wheels you will need to run spacers to obtain no rubbing with 35's. Personally, I've run Bilstein's at 2.1 and a Zone 1.5" body lift which IMO gives a great look while not breaking the bank. Bilsteins are between $180-200 and the Zone body lift is around $140. Here is a picture of my old truck with 315/70/17 tires (34.4"). I liked this combo so much I've already ordered it for my new 2014.

My 09 I went with 3 inch body lift with 35 12.50 20 atx artillery on nitro trail grapplers. It had a slight rake. My 2014 is gonna need a level kit on top of the body lift because the newer trucks have such a severe rake. Nose down look.
