I have the quad lamps and the stock lights blow ********.... My LED fogs and bar are nice but are lost in the distance... Ive been wanting HIDs, but not sure how it would work in the quad headlights... Or should i just buy those phillips CVU, or Slyvania ZXE's... My truck also has the reflector plate and not a projector...Should i buy those spyder light housing brand from Ebay? Do those hold up at all... Just want more light...

I went with Super Nova V.3

I have been really happy with them, They may throw a little further but not anything to write home about

What they do is really light it up, seems to me like you can see much clearer toward the end of the throw than with stock bulbs

here is a small review I did on them

So LED on a reflector plate is the way to go? They look nice, is the range much longer than the stock bulbs, i saw you were compairing the to the Silverstar ZXE. How do the LED compair to HID on a reflector plate, and do i need to get 4 bulbs if i go this route for the high beams?

Oh, I thought he said he had standard reflectors

Agree, if projectors HIDs would be the way to go

I am talking about quad lamps , LED's are not effective in a projector housing

Being a broke college kid, I just did the 50W 6000K H11 kit from Jeremy at RetroShop for the low beams in my quad headlights. Since the low beam bulb has a small cover directly in front of it there is minimal glare and I have yet to be flashed ONCE by oncoming traffic since I installed them 3 months ago. Highly recommend this affordable setup as it is a huge upgrade from stock (or any other halogen) bulbs while still being considerate of other folks on the road.

What did you do with high beams also how much were the hids for you lb

Still have Sylvania SilverStar ZXE's in the high beams and fogs but rarely use them because the color doesn't match the HID low beams and there is not much more light output when used with the low beams (Yes, the HID's are that good). Planning on upgrading both high beams and fogs to LED in the future... The 50W 6000K kit using Canbus adapters ran me $170 ($150 base price + $10 for 50W ballasts + $10 shipping) and it is worth every damn penny...
