Can you turn off the locker & sway bar nannies with Alpha OBD? If not, is there another OBD linked tuner that can? I swear I remember coming across something about a year ago after I bought my '18 Power Wagon that claimed to allow these changes but now I cannot find it again.

Turn them off? Why would you even do that? Just dont turn them on, and they are off lol

Edit:

Ohhhhhh, you are talking about the nannies that prevent them working probably haaaa. Yea, some tuners can do it by tricking the truck into thinking its in 4 low, but that kind of sucks because it changes the throttle mapping too.

Just get the abel bypass setup. Its the only way to go!

Abel Components locker bypass is what you want. You can find his info over on Power Wagon Registry. It allows you to use the lockers regardless of 2WD or 4WD using the factory switches, and he also has a swaybar bypass available as well which will allow you to disconnect that as you wish. I have the locker bypass on my truck and it has been fantastic for years.

There is no way to disable the nannies in AlfaOBD or anything else, as those things are controlled by the electronics in the SmartBar swaybar module and there is no way to access the information on that module directly. The only effective way is to bypass that module.

Edit;

My bad, res’d a dead post.

So we seem to return to ALFAOBD or other software solution to make this happen on 20+ W2500's?

I bought an Able Components locker bypass a couple of months ago from someone on the forum recently. Couldn’t be happier with it! Only issue I can think of is that there isn’t a clean way to mount the control box under the dash. Mine is held up there with zip ties for now so it doesn’t hit the steering column. But it works exactly as it should. Definitely the way to go.

Glad you got it installed and are happy with it. I think a lot of people mount the box on the fender wall next to the air filter. At least that’s where I was going to put it if I had kept my wagon.
