My ball joint needs replaced and I can't get the cup to fit behind the ball joint to press it out.

Do they make it to where the whole arm needs replaced?

Here is the jointIMG_20220102_085809.jpg

Chisel off rivets and replace joint or just replace the whole arm.

Are you using a ball joint pulling tool? All the big auto supply stores will rent them to you for free. It is definitely supposed to come out, they are pressed in and can be very hard to get out. With the right ball joint kit it will work, but you might need to heat it up with a torch to help it along.

Supposedly, chiseling away at the peening around the ball joint will free it up to press out. After 2 days of working on one, I replaced the LCAs.
