Yup! Use very strong (Neodymium) on every oil filter.
Cost about $12 & last a lifetime.
If you do Your Job & handle them properly.

Even attached a 4” round dia neodymium to the bottom of my stock 68RFE transmission pan.

The stock 8 speed tranny pan is a composite material,so you'd probably have to glue a magnet to it.
