I have a 2013 R/T with the typical moisture in one of the headlights.

I know there is a TSB on this, does this expire with the bumper to bumper warranty or is there an extended policy on this? Not really wanting to spend the $600 on a new headlight. Truck has 58k miles.

TSB's generally do not extend a warranty coverage out unless specifically mentioned.

That's what I figured. Was worth a shot.

Take it back to the dealer and tell them that you know its a problem with the lights. If they say they can't do anything just be nice and tell them you understand but you're going to open a case with chrysler. If they've seen a few of these come through like that than they might try to do the leg work for you. Its worth a shot

I guess anything is worth a shot but I would not get hopes up on a truck that is almost 4 model years old and 22K miles outside the basic warranty.

I cannot say for sure on a 2013, but in my 2014 owner's manual it says some condensation (moisture?) is normal as long as it's not dripping (running down the inside of the clear lens). I've never see a TSB about it before from what I can remember.

I think the general rule of thumb for moisture being an issue is if the headlights cannot burn it off within 20 minutes of use.

Put a silica pack in the headlight.

I'd pull the lights, check the little vents, drain any collected condensation, dry them out, and reinstall.

20+ k out of warranty, I wouldn't open a case. Chrysler didn't do anything wrong .

Make sure those vents aren't pushed all the way down too.

Yup, I remember something being said like that.

If you decide to take it to the dealer, please feel free to DM me for assistance. Thanks - Kevin T, Social Connect Team

I do not think the OP will let me take his truck to the dealer for his problem.

After much investigating I am seeing may people say the 3 vents on the housings have the covers pushed in all the way and there is a video on youtube on how to adjust these. I'm going to try this today on my 2013. driver side has a lot of moisture and the passenger side has none and looks brand new???
