Maybe I should get some better shots, there is about 1/4" of room from the LED base and headlight housing

I see issues with the fit and heat build up. Also is the cap going back on?

I wonder if Retro can get them to us for cheaper?

There are cheaper priced ones.
Look on ebay.

But you need to check the lumens and I do like these Morimoto since they don't have a fan. Instead just heat sink like a amp. My gut is telling me that the fan would be the first thing to go, then bam LED burns up.

There's always something cheaper on eBay.
I even got in a set of LEDs for the new projector lights from China a few weeks back. Found a set that fit behind the dust cap........it sucked ass. HORRIBLE output. The person I shipped them to for testing......I just said "do with them as you please, I don't even want them back". Got what I paid for there.![]()
The copper base is probably no more than 2.5" thick and 3" diameter so not sure what you can conclude from there...Love my Morimoto HID's (FR-X retro Projector head Low Beam) and Fogs
...all work flawlessly with canbus adapter system (no relay harness at all)
...but HID's are no bueno as high bulb replacement
that needs quick on/off flash ability, and half power as my DRLS in my Canuck Ram (that originally had Quads).
I wonder if the 9005 LED is too big to squeeze into the high beam socket
and still get the dust cap back on for a 13+ Projector housing?
