those early 2000 generation mustangs are flat out dogs. Horribly under powered compared to the newer generation mustangs. not surprised the short bed ram held its own and beat it either

I beat an 09 3V stang by a few lengths. So a 2000 era PI 2v is probably pretty easy.

My ram is faster than any stang Ive owned as well.

Can't imagine how bad a stock 2v would have done. But, then again, GT models didn't really break free of their power slump until the 5.0 direct injection engine came along...

My "88" 5.0 LX would do 0-60 in 6.3. I bought it new and loved it, but unfortunately in 2009 it was hit from behind while parked and totaled.

Based on the vid that stang must have really sucked.

The Coyote engines were DI until 2015. However, the Eco boost engines are still DI.

I'd love to put a better gear set in but the highest I'll prob go is 3.92... Im still researching on the 6speed combined with more aggressive gears dealing with highway work commutes

None of the Ford 5.0's have ever used DI, even the 2015+ models. Even the new Voodoo 5.2 motor is port injection.

The only Ford DI engines (non-diesel) that I'm aware of is the EcoBoost stuff.

Agree 100%. That was a plain'ol GT with the usual bolt-ons and tune too. Far cry different if a 2014 GT500.
