I closed up the headlights and sealed them with the butyl rubber. I think I got everything pretty well cleaned up inside and out aside from the light scratches on the outside of the lenses.

Only other minor mod I need to do is clearance the inside of the upper dust cap, to sit tight and flush with out hitting the D2S plug..

Other than that, ready to go in tomorrow if I get time.360ec666f5b7603715ff7ad31313262a.jpgbc61cfe550754a652f89a5d7fdebe495.jpg2a0aa72cfa517c3c4f0b7048c15d552f.jpg4d7596660910b8098791412ac9c82623.jpg3c1fbdffba8c4b8d631b2d708526181e.jpg417ac056135c69211da04982551b783b.jpg74afc6a84c089e97e9862f457631056c.jpg

Got them.in and set AlfaOBD to where they needed to be.

So far they look good and no bulb out errors.2d7c66778cd232b2d6bc25be9b5f8b69.jpg4d97c3f817f99b6f1d06b2ce7b9c1bd5.jpgaeeb955d164957d9aaba015a771d273c.jpg9d926b42f51924afe9b5f40ee0002702.jpgef7d6c207a062ae1bd53ab14075debdb.jpgf8e857801490f4c9e4a9dab3d4e0b369.jpgdae5a0500d29f0ea3c27e24206dbdbf9.jpg

I did notice that when I turned off the lights and was in drive, the high beams were on for the DRL. They were not very bright, and the passenger side was dimmer than the driver's side.

The drl voltage is only like 7.4v I believe maybe less with high beams. You should be able to change the voltage with alphaobd. I know you can for dedicated drl's

Unless required by law or needed I would turn off high beam as DRL and just use parking lights as your DRL. I would hate for the high beams to be over worked and fail. I doubt they will but still a little piece of mind after all that hard work. Turn signal/switchbacks are a lot easier to replace.

The Hi-Lense does have a drl feature. He would have to run the dedicated drl feed to use it or tap into the parking lights.

Maybe I will just do that. I think DRL feature helped me out a few times when I was driving. Not required by law, but I also dont need to be pulled over because of a pulsing white light, which is not legal. I dont need switchbacks to have it run as a DRl do.I?

Nope. Just with the switchbacks you'd have a white drl not amber.

I love the way these look.

The black bezels and the chrome shrouds and buckets. Pretty much in my opinion a good mix of black and chrome. db1b05c60367b332d6c613b19997e5a9.jpg1787d0c28e58167b674ee818082d8155.jpg

I think I may need to adjust my lights up a bit. Low beams seem like they are only lighting up just in front of the truck.

List of things I actually used to build my headlights.

Morimoto Mini D2S projectors (low/high beam): https://www.theretrofitsource.com/bi-xenon-morimoto-mini-d2s-4-0-projectors-55833.html

Profile Hi-Lens LED projectors (high beam): https://www.theretrofitsource.com/bi-led-profile-hi-lens-led-high-beam.html

AMP extension: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/amp-extensions-49122.html (modified, bought AMP connectors 2 male/2 female)

H11/9006 adapter x2: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/headlight-socket-adapters.html?preselect=49229

Morimoto XB55 ballasts/ignitors x2: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/amp-morimoto-xb55.html

Gatling Gun 1.0 shrouds: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/gatling-gun-1-471.html

Wiring seal (4 wire) x2: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/4-position-wiring-seal.html

Motohold2rs: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/morimoto-mini-d2s-moto-hold2rs-bulb-lock-rings.html

Profile Peak 3157 amber LED turn signals

Did not use any of the other items(wiring harness) I thought I would need because I purchased the AlfaOBD app and the MX bluetooth dongle. JB Weld to attach the shrouds. Krylon satin black spray paint for the OEM bezel.

I set my DRL's to the turn/park signals. They light up nice and bright. I'm thinking maybe some Profile Peak switchback 3157's......I dunno. I don't want to take the lights out again. LOL.

One of the big things that I confused myself with more than anything was how to wire the HIDs with the LED projectors.

Using AlfaOBD eliminated the wiring harness and relays. If this helps anyone with how to get everything hooked up and working, cool.

so the high beam splitter basically lifts the shutter in the projector so that also works as a high beam right?

Yes.

I didn't have a spare projector laying around to hook up....LOL

Even if you didn't use a LED projector like the Hi-Lens, you could keep it a stock halogen or replace it with a quality LED bulb in the housing, still utilizing the splitter to activate the shutter solenoid. Or not use the splitter at all, and just plug in the OEM harness into the high beam bulb and forego using the projector solenoid.

Confused yet??? :) There are a few things that can be done option wise when building.
