I have the Ram OEM mud flaps installed now, and they vibrate or move enough that they are seriously scratching the paint. I'm interested in going to a quality, prefitted mud flap that does not wrap around the edges. I know I've heard them mentioned before but can't remember the name.

I've had my weathertech mudflaps on for about 2 years and when I took them off the other day there wasn't any damage to the paint.

They're not bad, but I have fender flares, and they're not quite the look I'm going for either. But thanks!

good thing to know that you're trying to match flaps with flares. Not many flaps fit over flares.

Lnghrnrearflap.jpg I've used Duraflap for years. What I really like about them is when you're on the highway, the vertical grooves in the face of the flap grab the water and take it straight down. There isn't a cloud of spray following the truck. You can look in your mirrors and see what's back there just fine.

Those DuraFlaps look like they hang down kind of low. Has anybody had problems with them being damaged during backing? I've seen mud flaps get caught between tires and curbs or snow berms, then get ripped off. Not an issue?

Not an issue. Duraflap is a very substantial item and they're pretty stiff. You'd have to make a judgment call on snow that was exceptionally wet, heavy, and deep and maybe watch your mirrors carefully to see a problem developing. I've backed into snow on a lot of occasions without trouble. I've had Duraflaps on three Rams so far.
