New exhaust!!

Today was a good day! A buddy and I put my exhaust on. We cut the stock pipes just past the cats, ran tubing to an X pipe, then to two Flowmaster 40 series and then dumping down out of the rear/sides. It's all 3". I didn't want to do like everyone else does and run the pipes straight out the back or sides so we ran the pipes high and put turn downs at the end of the pipes. It sounds sweet and I love how it looks. I am going to paint it black to match the wheels and everything else. I'm eventually going to get headers with 3" collectors and run it to what we did today so the entire exhaust system is 3".

Put some paint on that to help keep down on the rust. That setup turned out pretty clean.

Thanks guys! As mentioned, I am painting the exhaust black to match so I'm not worried at all about rusting. I've always loved Flowmasters and never had a single issue with them in the past on other builds.
I do have some drone, but I like it and considering my tires are just as loud if not louder its not like my cab is as quiet as it was before. Keep in mind its not a daily driver so I'm building the truck a little different than I would if it were a daily.

Just because cats are required somewhere doesn't mean you can't get away with not having them. I ran with no cats on my 04 for well over a year.

It's got cats on it for now. When I do the headers, I'll leave them off. Yes cats are required by law, but there are a lot of "illegal" things about my truck so what's one more? As long as you don't act like a fool and bring attention to yourself then you don't have to worry about it.

Exactly. We don't have inspections or e-check any more so nobody would ever know if I had cats or not. I've had countless modifications to this truck and many past rides that were illegal, but I haven't had a single ticket for any of them.
