I gotcha. There is nothing to worry about as far as the motor goes. My personal Ram has every bolt on part you can buy, ported heads with a bigger cam, spins up to almost 7000rpms at the track, and has 80k miles on the stock bottom end. If it will hold up to that, then a simple truck with minor bolt ons and an 87 octane tune has absolutely nothing to worry about.
The transmission can be a weak point, but that has more to do with how you drive than the parts you have installed. That same truck mentioned above still has a stock transmission as well without a single problem. Avoid any WOT downshifts from highway speeds, and you shouldnt have anything to worry about. This applies whether you are tuned or not. I have seen quite a few stock trucks blow transmissions as well for the same reason.
